PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this project is to develop integrated rehabilitation technology systems that will increase employment of individuals with disabilities. This project provides comprehensive statewide services to include assessment and implementation for all rehabilitation technologies, including assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering. The following are the primary objectives. 

  • Conduct rehabilitation technology and engineering assessments by qualified individuals to determine appropriate technology interventions. 

  • Design, Fabricate and Coordinate the delivery of and successful implementation of rehabilitation technology and engineering services. 

  • Establish and provide appropriate training of rehabilitation professionals, customers, service providers and client advocacy personnel on the benefits of rehabilitation technology services. 

  • Prepare technical standards for both products and services to ensure quality and qualifications of vendors for rehabilitation technology.
